Wise County Conservatives led by Andy Hopper set up what proved to be a wildly popular and important forum for the three main challengers to Greg Abbott in next spring’s Republican Primary. Abbott was invited but politely declined, meeting instead with supporters in Houston.

Cooke, Grayson, and Parker County Conservative groups rallied to join Wise County and the event was held at the Convention Center in Decatur. It was accurately labeled a forum as it was not a debate. These three patriotic candidates presented themselves, articulated their views, and answered questions on the issues. The “debate” was with the current failed leadership of Texas.
