We need a Texas Attorney General whose top attorneys working for him have not found it necessary to send a letter to the FBI urging an investigation into corruption of their boss….It is true that the current Texas Attorney General filed some popular Republican-favored lawsuits, especially in the last year AFTER the latest ethical, moral, and criminal allegations against him arose from his top staff….Also remember, the current Texas Attorney General won in the general election of 2018 with ONLY 50.6% of the vote, well before all of the current criminal allegations by his own staff attorneys.
Paxton is under FBI investigation and Louie is worried that, if Paxton wins the primary, he might be indicted and disqualified. According to the law, it would NOT be possible for Republicans to replace him. Texas would likely face a Democrat Attorney General.
Who is Louie Gohmert?
Louie is a graduate of Texas A&M and Baylor Law School. He was a captain in the U.S. Army. He is a church deacon and Sunday school teacher. Louie was elected to three terms as District Judge in Smith County, Texas. During his tenure on the bench, he gained national and international attention for some of his creative rulings. He was later appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to complete a term as Chief Justice of the 12th Court of Appeals.
Serving his eighth term in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Louie Gohmert was first sworn in January 4, 2005. He proudly represents the First District of Texas which encompasses over 12 counties stretching nearly 120 miles down the state’s eastern border.
