Your Most Important Vote ~ the 2022 March Republican Primary Elections

Do you want things to stay the same? (And even get worse.) Are you happy with the events of the last two years? Don’t point your finger at Washington, DC. Point it at the top officials and most (not all) of our Texas legislators in Austin. (There’s a small number of truly good legislators.)

That’s right. Take a close look at those leaders and representatives who could have

  • closed the border
  • outlawed the gender modification industry and the boys in girls’ bathrooms and sports
  • stood up against the unconstitutional Covid insanity
  • promoted therapeutic drugs and early treatments
  • kept hospitals open for elective surgeries
  • protected Texas children
  • kept churches open
  • preserved businesses and jobs and the economy
  • defended rights and freedom

but who, for the most part, chose not to. And don’t say the federal government wouldn’t let them. The conservative candidates challenging our Texas RINOs in the upcoming primary election quote chapter and verse of the federal and state constitutions that not only allow, but obligate Texas leaders to protect our state and our citizens from invasion and from unconstitutional mandates and power grabs. Instead, we get a seemingly endless parade of headlines such as these:

  • Abbott Waiting on Courts to End Vaccine Mandates ~ In an interview, Gov. Greg Abbott would not commit to calling lawmakers back for a fourth special session ~ Texas Scorecard, Dec 2, 2021
  • After a years-long fight to protect children in Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott and other top elected officials still won’t act (on gender issues). Why is this so difficult? ~ Texas Scorecard, Dec. 27, 2021
  • Reflecting on Missed Opportunities of the Texas Legislature ~ A summary of conservative issues left unaddressed by both statewide elected officials and state lawmakers despite multiple opportunities to do so ~ Texas Scorecard, Dec. 20, 2021
  • Abbott Shares Barbed Wire Fencing Photos to Tout Border Wall Progress in South Texas ~ The Texan, Nov 16, 2021
  • Campaign finance records reveal that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and House Speaker Dade Phelan received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a PAC for a clinic that offers hormone treatment to allegedly transgender children ~ National File, May 21, 2021
  • Despite multiple opportunities to do so and despite promises to the contrary, the Texas Legislature failed to address Republican priorities of executive overreach and mask mandates ~ Texas Scorecard, Dec 29, 2021
  • Texas Governor Warns of Another Lockdown If Face Masks Aren’t Worn ~ Epoch Times, July 11, 2020
  • House Democrats Faced No Consequences for Quorum Bust ~ Texas Scorecard, Dec 28, 2021

Want to change those headlines? Then we must change our leadership!

Brave, dedicated patriots have stepped up to the challenge to change the landscape of Texas politics. It’s our job to show up and vote these people into office. And then hold them accountable to the oath they will take. In fact, the caliber of these challengers indicates they will hold themselves accountable.

The OPEN PRIMARY is where and how we do this.

Just showing up for a November presidential election will never effect real change. It just means the genuine conservatives have been ignored and abandoned in the primaries.

Texas has open primaries. Any registered voter can vote in either the Republican or the Democrat primary, just not in both. You have to pick one. You may not see yourself as a Republican. You may not even realize that you are a conservative. But your values are basically conservative. And you value the federal and state constitutions. And you value individual rights and freedoms. So, if you want change in leadership in a conservative direction, you MUST vote in the Republican primary.

But I don’t know the people who are running.

That’s part of why Cooke County Conservatives exists. We helped bring the major challengers to Abbott (Allen West, Don Huffines, Chad Prather) to Decatur for the first forum. See our info page https://cookeconservatives.com/governor-forum/ under the Events tab, with the link to the video (which has over 22,000 views).

We are hosting a Lt. Gov. Forum for the three major challengers to Dan Patrick. See that info page https://cookeconservatives.com/lt-governor-forum/ under the Events tab. Come to the Monday, January 17 event and meet these people. Listen and contribute questions. Then pick your choice and VOTE FOR CHANGE!

We are hosting East Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert on Monday, February 7, to explain to you why he is giving up a safe congressional seat to run for Texas Attorney General against Ken Paxton. Come meet and listen to Louie, then VOTE FOR CHANGE!

Track our Events page and keep up with our Who Is Running page to get the latest information, right up to March 1, on your opportunities to make a difference for you, your family, and Texas. When you go to vote in this primary, you will know exactly what you want to do.

Below 50% and Primary RunOff Elections

The majority of primary elections involve challengers to incumbents. People already in office are usually hard to remove, and why we have career politicians. The primary strategy is to get the vote for an incumbent below 50% (assuming the incumbent gets the most votes). That triggers a runoff election between the candidate with the most votes (usually an incumbent) and the candidate with the second-most votes.

Keep following this website and our Facebook and look for our emails. We will keep you informed through the entire process. WE MUST HAVE CHANGE!

Early in-person voting for primary runoff elections is posted as Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20. Primary runoff election day is Tuesday, May 24. The primary winners take the Republican slots in the mid-term election in the following November 2022.

The Five Star Plan

When the 2018 Primaries happened, only a million and a half Texans participated in the process. ~ Robert West, The Five Star Plan, 2021

An outraged, grassroots patriot named Robert West who works on airplanes and develops land for a living has formulated and promoted The Five Star Plan to put Texas voters back in charge and replace career-minded politicians with patriotic citizen legislators. (TheFiveStarPlan.com)

The goal is to add three and a half million more voters to the 2022 Texas Republican Primary [total 5 million]. The Five Star Plan calls for…you to recruit five people, educate them and get them to vote in the 2022 Republican Primary. ~ Robert West

Robert West will headline our February 21 meeting (third Monday in February) at The Fold of Grand Avenue in Gainesville. Early voting will be a week underway by then. Please attend that meeting and bring friends.

Now look at our Who Is Running page and the New Districts page. By Primary Election dates, you will be informed and ready to VOTE FOR CHANGE!
